I turned 29 this year. There was panic and assessment after assessment of my life thus far. Plus working holiday visas worldwide typically have an eligibility age limit of 30. So I figured if I'm ever gonna do it, it'll have to be now, quick! Before it's too late.
I'm not a fan of hit-and-run type holidays, especially overseas ones. I couldn't imagine myself trying to fit in a few 3D2N trips in a year in-between work. How can you really get to experience a place like this? I want to shop in a local supermarket, see their produce, compare prices. Read their newspapers and get a feel of their journalistic integrity, which I feel, is a very good indicator of how advanced a society is. Maybe more memorable will be that daily interaction with the paperman. I want to really experience a place.
